GES Goes Green!! Mrs. Wells' ESOL students wrote about what they can do to help our environment. Listen as they read their essays and discover what these 5th graders are doing to help our planet!
What do you do to show environmental awareness? Recycle? Reduce? Reuse? Be sure to leave us a comment!

Good job fifth graders! Bryan, I agree that it is hard to recycle, you really have to think and remember before you throw things away. Olga, I reuse plastic baggies as well! When I pack my lunch, I can reuse the baggy that I put my pretzels in so I am not using so many plastic baggies. I also like how you said you use both side of the paper, I need to remember to do that more. Paula, you are very creative with all the ideas you have for making things with recycled items. I too forget to shut the water off when I brush my teeth, but you have helped me to remember now. Keep up the good work and continue to go green!

Hey Fifth Graders! I just listened to your audio essays and was very impressed. I do not always recycle as I should. You, however, have reminded me of the importance of recycling. I will try to do better in the future . . . thanks to you! Great job! I really enjoyed listening to your stories.
