Ms. Smith's Class C Frog Dissection

Now that you have completed the frog dissection, reflect on what you learned. What did you find interesting? Did anything surprise you? What did you learn? What more would you like to know about the frog or body systems?

The frog dissection was really cool. The lungs were mushy or at least I think it was the lungs.
The water kept quirting at me.

I was very surprised with what I found. I learned alot of new things. Example: Frogs dont have babies.
They have tons of eggs. I want to know more about what Frogs eat. I would also like to learn more about
how they swallow their food, even if their food is bigger than they are. I think that its cool how frogs
can swallow something bigger than they are. They are never actually "pregnant" they just carry eggs.

When I did the Frog Dissection I learned some of the organs of a frog. What I found interesting was what the frog ate for his or her appitite. I was suprised that only a gnat was in the frogs stomach.

I learned about all the parts of the frog, well not really all the parts, just like the heart, liver, lungs,
the bladder.I learned the frogs body is kinda the same as ares, but in a differend form.

nothing really surprized me.I learned that frogs has a hole lot of eggs and it's really not so bad to dissect them.I would like to know how big their brains are.

I loved the frog dissection. It was soo much fun. I was actually hoping to get a girl frog:).
Well i thought is was difficult cutting open the frog and removing all the organs except the heart.
I learned that frogs are not "pregnant" they carry eggs release them then start all over again.
I really firgured out how to tell a diffrence from a frog and a toad. I thought they were the same. Ends up they are really diffrent.
The frog i had was a boy that when we opened his stomache he had nothing to eat.

The frog disection was very fun and edcationl. The lab was ever edcationl because u got to see the insides of the frog and got to see all the parts we have but in a smaller view. It was fun because when we opend the stomach we found little beetel in the stomach that was no able to exit out the body and because it was fun how the frog looked in the inside

what i found interesting was the how soft the frog's bellies were, they were really gussy and they were really white. i guess thats so the frog can camoflauge when its i the water. what suprised me the most when we cut open the stomach and there was nothing my thought on that was that the frog probably starved to death..i learn stuff about the human body, how our body is similar and different from the frog's body.

I found that the frogs organs were alot like ours.it was suprising when the water spewed out the
frogs leg when i poked it.i would like to know how they digest their food.

what i found interesting about the frog dissection was that the frog my partner and i had had eggs alot of eggs . The frog we had only 1 lung witch was very diffrent from ours because we have 2 lungs an that is one thing that surprised me .

The frog dissection was very interesting. In my frog I found a spider, lady bug,tow flies and beetal in its stomach. It suprized me to see how all the organs could fit into his little body.I learned what it looks like and how they are connected.
don't worry theres nothing to be scared of it's really cool.

what i liked about the frog dissection was we got to cut the stomach open and see what the last thing it ate was.
and we got to see all the organs in its body. felt what the skin felt like. got to see its tounge looked like.
and see what the muscle looked like.
the dissection was some what fun the only part i didnt like was taking my jacket off.
but it was fan even though.

What I found interesting is that the whole digestive system is so big. I did not think that the frogs
heart is so small. I did find that the frogs teeth are small and at the top of the mouth.
The lungs are very skinny they are also long. I did find out that the togue is able to flip outward.

    kennyp. (unauthenticated)Apr 3, 2009 11:55 AM

The spine was at the back of the frog and I dident know that the frog had a spine.
The thing in the frog that suprised me was in the stomach was a pair of spider teeth.
That the system a very small if you are small, but you can handle it.
The hole nerves system a how big it is, and the skeletal system, the hole muscular system.
That the heart is so small and the rest below is big, the frog has 4 or 5 liver.

The dissection was very interesting.I found a spider, ladybug, two flies and a beetal in my frogs stomach.I was supprised to find that all the organs and everything fit into that small body.I got an idea about what our body looks like inside. The dissection is very cool but don't be afraid because it's not bad at all!:)
I also leaned that frogs shove their food inside their mouth.:)So don't be afraid it's really cool.

when doing the frog dissection i was a little grossed out by it but i was mostly disgusted by the skin and having to cut it open. my group had a girl and it was full of eggs she did the most gisgusting parts like cutting through the muscles and pinning it down and all so its really not as bad as every one makes it out to be
