All 2nd grade students did a genre study of biographies. Each student read a biography and prepared a presentation about their famous person. The students used Open Mind 2 to organize their information and then exported the mind map to a PowerPoint. After they fine-tuned their PowerPoints, they did oral presentations to share what they had learned. Mrs. Rogers's students also did a video to insert at the end of the presentation. Standing in front of a picture of their book cover, they shared their opinion about whether or not the world would have been different if this person had not been born and whether or not they would like to be this person.
