Students in Mrs. Williamson's class just finished a great writing project with Ms. Clark, Mrs. Williamson's intern. First they read the poem, "Where I'm From," by George Ella Lyon. You can read the original poem here. Then students used that model to create their own "Where I'm From" poems. After the poems were written, the students shared the poems orally during Author's Circle presentations and celebrated with snacks. Here are a few:
